Why doesn t ea sports make a baseball game

Whether you were a casual or hardcore fan, there were plenty of choices to go with, and there were more titles than what was just listed. Fifteen years later, there are two, and one is an arcade title. It seems easier for the sports to keep things simple and have one game to exchange advertising. Every major sports game is a stellar experience, but with the inability for a company to rival ideas from a different developer, the experience starts to get stale on yearly titles.

There are as many Madden and NBA 2K professional tournaments and e-sports leagues as any other game out there. Players like different options, and while The Show is great, many fans still have to miss out. There are smaller companies that could appoint a developer to make a baseball game. A company like Deep Silver that produces games for a ton of developers could find someone to make a baseball game. EA could easily jump back into the fold and get guaranteed sales from players on Xbox, PC, or Nintendo.

Microsoft even had a licensed baseball game at one point. Hard to understand why the Xbox still lacks a baseball simulation. For a while, Outer Worlds was only available on the usual suspects with the Switch glaringly absent. Since there seems to be no negative aspects to playing that game on the Switch, it may be the beacon that other developers were looking for when considering if they should make a release on that system or not.

Another big reason that EA probably is not very excited about releasing their games there is that many users play their games offline. This limits the ability for EA to make money off of the micro transactions throughout the online versions. Lastly, the simple graphics of the current lineup of sports games on the Switch is a big part of the appeal.

Games like Super Blood Hockey and Golf Story are popular because of the simplicity to play and the throwback graphics are just plain fun. Ubisoft is bringing its subscription service to Xbox. I don't know if it's the MLB that doesn't allow relocation or it's The Show developers that haven't had time to implement it. Include relocation in franchise if it's MLB not allowing it have a nice long talk with the commissioner that this would help attract young people to the game and he'd sign off immediately.

Also add a stadium creator in both franchise and Ultimate team once you have that it's over. Even if it's bare bones EA should include it in their first year if they ever return to baseball again.
